Bomanite of New Orleans, 100 Edwards Ave Harahan, La 70123/P.O. Box 1427 Metairie, La 70004 I was referred to Robert E. Oswald, Jr.,P E President. Mr. Oswald was great as the owner and the Prime Contractor. When I met with Mr. Oswald to discuss what I wanted done ie., how long would it take and how many people would be on the property. Mr. Oswald was very patient, answered the questions, and went on to explain what was and wasn't possible.
I was given options for the things that weren't possible, and Mr. Oswald kept in mind my budget, and we worked it out. I have never met a Prime contractor so cool, calm, and collective. His crew for my job were( Merlin, Coleito, Joel, Jerod, Ronald and Ray) were prompt and very respectful. A patio had to be poured, drainage tweaked, trees and stumps removed, etc.
They worked non-stop with the exception of a lunch break. All of them were skilled, and respected the property as they did their own. Mr. Oswald monitored the job throughout the day, and anything that concerned you in the whole process, was attended to and discussed on his return. I found Mr. Oswald whom everyone call (Robby) to be a very fair and honest man.
If he was perturbed by anything at all, he didn't show it on the job. He had bigger jobs than mine, spread out over the city and state, and my job a medium compared to others was not as costly, but received the same respect and attention. Robert Oswald is an Engineer, his company is over 23 yrs old, and he's a fairly young man. He specializes in masonry, paving, building construction, heavy construction, sub contracting, concrete projects, Go to your search engine and put Bomanite of New Orleans, Inc. and view those beautiful ideas that he brought to life and fruition. The product is fine but I learned it's all about people who do the work. In my case it wasn't a good experience. There was always an excuse as to why the color was not consistent or the finish was not the way it was supposed to be. It's unfortunate there is only one company in the area that has this product.
