Mike's Welding Service was established in 1996 when the owner, Michael Roderick used a tax refund check to purchase his first welder. He made a homemade trailer and started advertising as a fabrication and mobile repair shop. After one year, Mike found his niche in fabricating rails for home builders.

I needed a custom railing in my new house for which I had a specific idea in mind of how I wanted it to look and function. Urbana Ironworks understood my request, was flexible as I made adjustments to my idea, and then executed it perfectly. The team who installed my railings were very friendly and even cleaned up afterwards. I'd definitely recommend Urbana and would certainly work with them in the future.

I have been trying to get in contact with him for days. I have tried phone, txt, email. I was in contact with him, paid a deposit on a job and feel like I have been ghosted. I hope everything is okay, but this seems extremely unprofessional! I am about to call my bank to report this so I get my money back.

We just used this company for the second time. Their work is impeccable. We get so many compliments on the railing they did for our deck and they just installed a matching railing on a deck extension and stairs that connect the upper and lower deck platforms. A real pleasure to deal with Mike Roderick and his crew - super-professional and their products are extremely well-made and carefully installed. Highly recommend. This is old-fashioned craftsmanship and service that is really hard to find these days, and their prices are reasonable, too.
