In terms of weight, metal is a lightweight substrate. Metal weighs about 40 to 120 pounds per square as opposed to asphalt /fiberglass shingles at 210 to 350 pounds per square, wood shingles/shakes at 200 to 300 pounds per square (400 to 600 pounds per square when wet), and clay/cement tiles that weight 800 to 1,000 pounds per square. Metal offers a light roof for pre-owned homes with structural weakness. In new construction, metal offers savings in the structural design of a home because of its light weight.

In most cases, washing the painted surface with a water hose will remove most dirt and accumulated deposits. For stubborn dirt you can typically use a mild detergent or a house hold ammonia product. In all cases, test a small unobtrusive area for color-fastness before cleaning large areas. With a little care and attention during service, prepainted Galvalume sheet will provide an extended service life.
What is a square of panels? A. A square is an area of 100 square feet. This, however, is not coverage square feet. Many years ago, the industry elected to calculate these 100 square feet on the total out-to-out width of the panel. For example, a 3' coverage, screw-down panel is figured to be 3.19 feet wide.

The slowest place I've ever did business with in my life. Been sitting outside in line for hours and they haven't loaded 1 person up yet. Just driving around in circles on little forklifts. Will absolutely not be back unless I just don't have another choice. I could drive to houston and back for material quicker then this.

Called and was told metal was in stock, just needed lengths and would have ready next day, called back next morning to give lengths needed and was told I would have to come there, but I'm 50 miles away, asked to have salesman call me, called back 4 more times over next 5 hours and kept getting told to come there. Been nearly a month, still haven't gotten a callback.

The worst place ever! My husband and son are still waiting in line since 9 this morning as we speak waiting on portion of our order! An order that was placed 4 days ago! This make no damn sense! It's abuse on the customers time! so if y'all don't have any other options, make sure you pack some lunch, a blanket to take a nap!
