Since 1955, Vimasco Corporation has been manufacturing specialized protective coatings, adhesives, reinforcing cloth, and fire retardant materials for use in various industries. Most of our products are used in conjunction with thermal insulation, but many are also used in other applications as well. From our manufacturing facility in Nitro, West Virginia, USA, we supply our products to customers worldwide. We maintain an inventory of finished goods to enable us to ship orders for standard products quickly, often on the same day an order is received.

Vimasco manufactures four products in special versions which are low in chlorides, fluorides, oxidizable sulfur, and other leachable contaminants which can be potential causes of stress corrosion of carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys. The intention of these products is to supply the utmost level of safety in insulation systems used on nuclear power facilities where problems arising from stress corrosion of pipes can be critical.
Vimasco has been supplying log chinking materials to selected builders of fine log homes for over fifteen years. Our chinkings are elastomeric, extremely durable, and decorative materials which are designed to give you years of service with very little attention or maintenance. Our knowledge of manufacturing and quality control come from 45 years of manufacturing other types of elastomeric protective coatings.
For your convenience, we have shown the VOC level of each Vimasco product as compared to the VOC limit allowable under the LEED standard. All Vimasco products are manufactured in Nitro, W.Va.; therefore depending on where the project is, usage of these materials might apply towards LEED Credit MR 5.1 for use of regional materials.
