Zero Stars. We have been trying to get 1 special order door for over a year now through Ganahl Lumber. I don't know where T M Cobb find these employees/inspectors, we are now on door number 7, yes 7, so far 6 doors have been wrong, today's screw-up was 3 too short. The paperwork is correct but apparently nobody there can read. STAY FAR AWAY! The only good thing is we got all our money back from Ganahl and they are paying for the installation as well.

5 years after buying supposedly top of the line Cobb doors, the pieces the doors were constructed from began separating. 15 years later, these doors STILL ooze tree sap (see photo). Total garbage company, total crud quality, wont stand behind their products. Easy to see why-they cant. They rely on new suckers.

Inferior products. Bought from builders direct my front door. It was factory painted and within 4 months white dots were visible through the paint. Builders direct should stop recommending or selling this product as TM Cobb doesn't honor the one year manufacturer defect. Now I am taking builders direct to court for not honoring my warranty and my contract. Going to teach them a lesson to stop selling this manufacturer doors.

We purchased a wood 4 light custom Dutch door from Ganalhl lumber. I was told this is one of the best doors you could get and it was not cheap. Nevertheless we have had it for a little over a year now and the door is literally falling apart right in front of our eyes. A fairly big crack developed right in the center bottom portion of the Dutch door so big you can put a flat head screw driver a 1/4 in.
The solid wood portion is bowed along the crack that it is now pulling the top portion paneling inside and outside away from the door with big gaps. It doesn't shut right now and is all jacked up. This was a custom door due to the beveled glass we wanted. I personally think the wood and workmanship is bad. Moreover sense they use young wet wood for their solid pieces you get sap and bubbles of paint because when the sun hits it lets out gas or steam and bubbles the paint (Sun only hits it in fall and winter time for about four hours or so and it's recessed in 4 ft in from the front of the house) I had it professionally installed and used the best primer and outdoor paint I could find. Had it fixed multiple times, sanded, reprimed and crack filled.
But nevertheless it just happens again. And again. Very disappointed in this product. Thinking they have been around for a hundred years or more I would expect the best and unfortunately we got the worst. I spoke to my guy at Ganahal Costa Mesa and he said one year warranty that's it, well we are two months late. Best he could do it a discount, how much? Not sure yet, but very dissatisfied to say the least. Total headache! Wasted money and time. Do not buy this product! Run Read Less

Very disappointing experience. A Cobb 1525 Pantry Door was ordered through Ganahl, Anaheim. The glass in the door that was delivered looked nothing like the glass in the Cobb online catalogue, the Cobb brochure, or the Ganahl/Cobb software. I sent the door back hoping to receive one with the correct glass. Low and behold, sorry, that glass is no longer available!
After receiving a $150 credit we accepted the door, although nowhere near as good looking as what we ordered. The door was re-delivered, the finish workmanship is lousy. Lots of caulking had oozed out from when the glass was seated, staple holes in beading that holds glass in place are not filled, even though the door was primed. Ganahl said this is normal. Cobb asked for photos (Aymara).
Response to my second follow up call (Aymara) was give us a few more days. I made the third follow up call after two weeks and elevated to a manager (Lavonne). Response was "that is normal". When I said my Andersen doors were not of such poor quality I was told "we are not Andersen, you can cut the caulk out with a razor blade". Make your own judgement!

I bought 3 sets of dual glazed tempered glass custom French doors from Elite Building Materials distributors of TM Cobb doors. The joints started separating within a week of installation. One set of doors has black specs inside the dual glass. TM Cobb would not acknowledge their mistake even though their field officer had noted it on their report.
They claimed my overhang was not wide enough that is why the wood was splitting at the joints. After months of negotiations they agreed to replace the 1 set of French doors with specs but the doors they sent the wood was separating at the seams. They claimed it was "industry acceptable " even though their installer agreed it was not manufactured correctly.
Now they refuse to replace the doors! These are expensive doors don't waste your money on TM Cobb. Poor quality, terrible customer support and warranty that is worthless. I'm sorry I did not read the reviews.

Should have read the Google reviews and I wouldn't have bought from TM Cobb. Their wood products are not properly dried and my $5K front door is oozing sap on the interior and exterior. The company told me it's my problem and paint. I used the same paint on properly dried wood with no sap oozing. Inferior products and inferior quality and rotten customer satisfaction. I wouldn't recommend them or use TM Cobb ever again.

I ordered a door from tmcob customs, paid a little over $5,000 it's a Dutch door and the frame around the shaker style are different by 1/8. Appears when they back beveled the jamb they dove the planer/ jointer off the end. Pretty dissatisfied in the quality. Also over spray all over the hinges. In today's world quality means nothing. the distributor pushed tm Cobb on me telling me they were the best. If your looking for a quality product DO NOT USE THEM!

Bought a new front door with glass through Dixieline Escondido and got a great deal and door. Had trouble getting the paint to match for the trim. Called Dixieline and they in turn contacted TM Cobb. Robin the Sales Representative for Dixieline responded by sending the matching paint and I picked it up last week and it's a perfect match. The door and trim look fantastic thanks to Robin and Tyler from Dixieline. A shout out to Robin for the great after sale service. I know who now to go to for my doors. Jim G

We bought a T.M. Cobb 42 wide front door with 6 lights in 2010. The individual light seals seem to be failing because even after cleaning outside/inside of each individual light, there is a milky film that exists, to varying degrees, in each of the 6 lights. Their online warranty says the doors have a 1-year warranty and the glass has a 5-year warranty.
The company from which the door was ordered has been bought up by Performance Doors in San Jose. The owner, Dave, kindly emailed his contact to see what can be done. I have fingers crossed that T.M. Cobb will fix the problem - especially after reading so many horrible reviews of their products.

You know a business sucks when a company has all 1-star reviews (oh, sorry - one person gave them a 2-star review.). These are where my doors came from. My door man, Jay, ordered them. 3.5 years after the install and the doors are warping and falling apart! And their awesome 1-year warranty (my $20 toaster has a better warranty) is worthless. One would hope a door would last longer than a year. 3.5 years isn't much better. They obviously used cheap quality wood and shoddy workmanship to produce these doors. Seriously. why did my door installer order from these zeros?

We built a new home 13 years ago and used TM Cobb windows and doors. What a mistake. We have the insulated windows. Right away the window started to fail. What does that mean? I can no longer see through the glass because moisture is in between the glass. To replace all the glass panes is very expensive. I am now hoping to find a custom manufacturer that will replace only the windows leaving the frames in place.
When I contacted TM Cobb for help they had nothing to offer us. Additionally the doors have warped so we don't get a good seal. I would highly recommend you not using this manufacturer.

Horrible I had an interview for an IT position there it seemed to go well but then I got a rude response from the manager who interviewed me when I sent an email to check my employment status. Sorry you were not considered for the position please no more texts or emails. Waste of time drove an hour and 10 minutes to do the interview my own gas and wear and tear on my car.

Worst customer service i have EVER endured. They absolutely refused to consider exchange of an $1,100.00 door they sell hundreds of every day. Further, their completely non compassionate Charlie Mason school of charm altitude leaves a great deal to be desired. Shame on you TM Cobb! I will make every effort to ensure any and all I do business with will NEVER do business with YOU! THANKS FOR NOTHING!

It's the mom and pop, big box store dealers responsibility to check all products coming from TM COBB for defects, scratches. It's a simple process, read the paper work and check the product as it comes off the truck. But to many stores just want your money and leave you hanging. Call TM COBB and they will give you the # for a good dealer in your area.

TM Cobb has the worst quality control or lack of. My doors have been sent back 3 times and always comes back with something not done right. They even claimed the manager looked over the door. It's unbelievable that he couldn't see two different textures and two different colors on the same door. It's over a $5000 entry door. They have numerous nails puncturing the actual door from the case housing the door for shipping.
They find that okay and tells me to use the touch up paint, that's what it's for. This type of response and product is unacceptable. TM Cobb should really take more pride in their quality of workmanship and the way they do business. They are vendors to many big stores and looks like they are about to lose an account due to their lack of professionalism. The owners should really be proactive and look at their management at their plants to see how it's being handled.

Zero is what this company gets and not 1 star. Below standard workmanship and very bad service. Our vendor ordered our Dutch Door from TM Cobb and every glass pane has a defect- extra wood trim is around each pane when looking at the glass. I contacted TM Cobb to get a status update two days after our vendor notified them and shockingly their customer service rep was not helpful and rude.
She placed me on hold for an extended period, refused to pass on a supervisor to speak with and refused to accommodate another service date for their technician to inspect their error and sub-standard finish. Shame on them for failing to do proper quality control & to rectify their mistake within the standard industry timeline of 24-48 hours. I cannot imagine how they have been in business for so long

Wish I would have came here and read these reviews before I ordered my door. I ordered a Dutch door through Ganahl Lumber. The door itself isn't terrible, but definitely not good enough quality for the cost. The door came with a shelf, that is supposed to go on the outside of the door, only there is nowhere to put it. I looked on their website and their "Dutch doors" are really just their normal doors cut in half, and that shows.
The top half doesn't fit flush with the bottom and jiggles around when you open and close the door. The door itself doesn't even close well. All in all, I wouldn't buy from them again. When you spend 1500 on a custom door, you expect it to be quality. I probably could have gotten similar quality from a door off the shelf at home depot.

BUYER BEWARE! Unfortunately, I, too, have experienced bad service from T.M. Cobb, through Ganahl Lumber. Our order was over $5,000. Not only did T.M. Cobb NOT take back doors that are not to spec, but I was told "You own it as soon as they drill the hole for the handle" so you're stuck with it. Also, they have a VERY BAD HABIT (according to Ganahl) of not including hardware - as was the case for our sidelight handles and screens.
Not only did they forget to include the hardware we purchased, but they sent only the handles and pins without the screws. When we requested the screws, they only sent one set. It took another 1-1/2 weeks and three calls from Ganahl to get the second set of screws. Upon installation, one of the pins was the wrong size and our contractor had to hone it down to the proper length. Lesson learned - never again!

I too agree that we should be able to leave zero stars or negative stars! I ordered five French doors and two side lights and one set of side lights and the French doors came completely with the glass scratched the glass is a mess. TM Cobb has done nothing about it they replaced the doors because the holes they drilled were the wrong size for the door knobs but they never replaced the sidelights and they're just horrible the customer service is horrible. I would never order from them again. BEWARE

On delivery there was missing paint in multiple spots, as well as along the frame next to the outside of the glass. We requested touch up paint and TM Cobb sent the wrong color. TM Cobb has now decided to not respond to requests for service and resolution. It has been almost two months, and we still have no response or help. Stay away from this company, its a joke that they list a limited Warrenty on their website.they won't even acknowledge a claim through Lowes. I posted pictures as well, their work is almost as awful as their service.almost two months without resolution. Still in process.

TM Cobb first provided a date of 10/20/14 for order delivery (on a simple, rather standard order). This was a three week lead time, which is already long for standard door sizing. Then the delivery was pushed to 10/24, then 10/28, 10/30 and now 11/04. The company has no care for its customers. When performing a project, accurate delivery dates are important. Choose another supplier. Try ETO doors.

I just got off the phone with T M Cobb. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful but she transferred me to a woman who thought, A. I was wasting her time B. I should know the lingo that her company uses daily C. That I was an idiot for not being able to speak her language. I feel that if I'm purchasing a product from someone, the least they could do is treat their customers nicely.
She did the whole, "uhhhhh. we carry LOTS of doors here, which one are you taking about?" Thought that was rude. Plus their doors aren't very good quality. One year warranty on all of their products? They don't even have faith in their own products? Kinda scary. The only reason I had to buy from them is because they are the only ones who carry the "timely" door jambs (needed for an elevator door). If you are looking for a good residential door, look elsewhere.
