Chad Galbreath, President of Penn Fencing, Inc, would like to present tips on how to better secure a recreational area with fencing. According to Galbreath, The dangers of drowning are very real. The consumer product safety commission reported 382 pool or spa-related drownings reported per year for 2010 through 2012, involving children younger than 15 years of age.
The biggest difference between wood and vinyl fencing is maintenance. In fact, vinyl fencing requires almost no maintenance whatsoever. Weathering won't harm vinyl like it does wood, which breaks down in the onslaught of weather and passage of time. Deteriorated and warped wood fence requires fixing, staining, sanding, etc.
This simulation shows how a picket fence can complement the house and gardens, while focusing the visitor on the entry way. Even when your house is hidden behind trees, a good gate tells the visitor where to find the path. The greater width of the Manchester Grand Arch is proportional to the width and depth of the path.

About two years ago, my neighbor hired Penn Fencing to install a vinyl fence at our property line, and this past year, we considered hiring Penn Fencing again to build additional fencing. The existing fence (see the attached photo) looks very nice and sturdy, but it does not enclose my neighbor's and my entire yards. As a result, we contacted Penn Fencing for estimates to build two additional fences of the same style.
The estimator Charlie arrived at my neighbor's and my houses on time. Charlie took accurate measurements, and he emailed us our estimates in a couple of days. My neighbor and I felt thankful that the same style and color of fence was in stock, but the price roughly doubled since two years ago, and the price was several hundred dollars higher than a competing company's estimate.
We understand that the cost of vinyl is expensive right now, I assume because the cost of the ethylene in vinyl comes from natural gas and petroleum that have high prices currently. My neighbor, though, did not like that Penn Fencing wanted to charge him $99 per square foot versus my $60 per square foot, because his fence would be shorter than mine.
Then Penn Fencing agreed to give my neighbor my lower rate only if my neighbor removed his existing, old fence himself. At this point, because of the high pricing, my neighbor and I will likely postpone our additional fencing until next year. Charlie told me that he keeps estimates for two years, so he can easily update the cost based on the same measurements.
For now, I will give a rating of 4 stars, because I feel happy with the existing fence. I will update my review if I ever purchase the additional fencing. Please note that Penn Fencing sells several styles of fences as well as decking and handrails.

Had a black 4.5ft aluminum fence installed in our backyard for our dog, and long-term for a pool. Quoting process was quick and the sales rep was local and personable. We had 269 ft of fencing required so it was a very large area. Before signing the quote/contract in early OCT we were given a install estimate of 10 weeks. Our install ended up being the end of OCT (roughly 3 weeks after signing the contract).
The installers were friendly and punctual. The install took a little over 3 business days with 2 men performing the work. One gentleman who installed the fence didn't speak English so the other gentleman was required to serve as an interpreter for any discussion regarding the installation. Several discussions were required due to the large area and configuration of our yard.
This wasn't a roadblock but I can see how it may concern or frustrate other potential clients. My only complaint would be that along the back portion of our fence a lot of dirt/rocks were left along the fence. We did experience a lot of rain the week prior to the install but the other 4 sections of the fence were cleared of dirt/rocks so I'm not sure why the back (and longest portion) of the fence was not cleared of debris like the rest of the fence perimeter.
There were a lot of leaves as well from my neighbors tree so that may have contributed to this issue. All-in-all, the install went well and resulted in a quality fence that looks great. The other lack luster experience was after signing the quote, the sales rep took several days to respond to an inquiry we made regarding installation and financing. Penn fencing offered 0% for 18 months, which is why we elected to go with them, but the process to sign-up for it is less than seamless. We're still waiting to see that be reflected on our WellsFargo account, who they use for the financing.
I will update this review if there is any discrepancy as far as the financing offer. This was a huge investment so I'm being extra critical but also trying to be fair/transparent in my review.

My neighbor recommended Penn Fencing when I was searching for a vendor, said they had the best customer service as it relates to responsiveness when she was looking for estimates. Given all estimates were comparable, they stood out. I'm happy that I went with her recommendation. From calling for an estimate (better to call than complete the online contact form) to someone showing up for an estimate, to nailing the timeframe that they would do the installation, plus the flawless installation of the fence, all lead me to highly recommend Penn Fencing. The installers were kind, considerate, hardworking, and they left everything as it was when they arrived, plus a beautiful new fence! Nice work, Penn Fencing.

We used Penn Fencing to replace our old wooden fence along our driveway. They were very responsive getting a quote to us and responding to our questions. The actual time till install took a bit longer than expected but this might have to do with Covid19 supply chain issues, not sure. The only issue we had was that the quote for the fence install was a bit more than expected since it only took them 2 days to install and we demoed the original fence. Otherwise they were great to work with.

Our installers did everything in their power to be sure we were 100% happy with the placement and appearance of our fence. Penn Fencing originally put up my fence about 7 years ago. Recently I had to gave a gate rehung. They came out and gave me an estimate of $400. I asked what exactly they were going to do and was told "we won't know for sure until the technicians get here". They sent 2 guys out with a small bag of concrete. They came when they had another job in the area and never told me they were coming.
They were there less than 1 and a half hours but they charged me the full $400 plus tax for labor and materials. I called to ask why is was so much and was told that "it was a discounted price". Looks like their hourly rate is $135.00 per hour per man. I am very dissatisfied with their customer service attitude.

We had our wooden privacy fence replaced this summer. Penn fencing gave us the best quote by far, and they were the most professional company we talked to. The work was completed quickly and on time, and our fence looks awesome! They also use high quality cedar which I appreciate. I'd definitely recommend them for your fencing needs!

If you are looking for a professional well done job on a new fence.look no more! Penn Fence came.saw the need, gave me a date showed up that day. one day to tear down and one day to set up. The reason for the two days was we had 6 condos and they did them all in two days. I will never forget how good Tom was and how helpful with our needs. His crew was a group of really great guys and they did a perfect job.no short cuts.and they were so careful not to harm some of the shrubs and plants that I thought would be goners in the process! Thank you for the great work. I put my trust in you and you did not disappoint us. Dennis Johnson Swallow Hill Road Pgh. PA

They accomplished all the items required for a great Home remodeling experience. Small project of a Couple of stair rails and a porch rail replacement. Prompt contact after the Home and Garden Show. I can say from experience this is not always the case from this show and numerous venders we spoke with. Quick evaluation visit and Quote. Good Follow-up Fast scheduling. Very good Installation work and support. Job well done Bill D.

We're completely satisfied with the railings we had installed on our front porch. They were installed over tile, which was tricky, but the 2 installers did a great job, with no damage to the tile floor or the brick on the house. The vinyl is maintenance free and is exactly what we wanted. Thanks Penn Fencing for a job well done!

Penn Fencing completed our fence around our brand new inground pool this past summer. We couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done. We have had so many compliments on the fence from our guests and neighbors. Many thanks to Chad for helping us design and plan the fence. It has exceeded our expectations. Also big thanks to Fidel and the crew.

We had a good experience with Penn Fencing. Our salesman Matt was prompt with his consultation and getting a quote to us afterwards. We liked the quote provided to us so we sent our deposit check in soon after. We knew they were booking far out but when we hadn't heard from them in over 6 weeks to check in with us after cashing our check, I called both Matt and John (the scheduler) multiple times with no call back.
It wasn't until I called back mad that my phone calls were instantly returned with an estimated start date. When they finally did start, Ed and John did an overall fantastic job on our fence installation and we were very, very happy with the end result. Had this review been solely been on installation, this would have easily been a 5 star review because Ed and John were that good - they were very knowledgeable, worked fast and efficiently, and left everything as clean as when they arrived. I'd recommend Penn Fencing.

From the estimate to the finished product Penn Fencing was always friendly, professional, and accomodating. During the estimate consulation I was given options on how Penn Fencing could help me accomplish my fencing needs. During the installation phase Penn Fencing was flexible and accommodated a few last minute alterations to the original plan. The crew that installed the fence was also very friendly and kept us informed of their progress throughout the project. I would definitely recommend Penn Fencing to a friend.

Great to work with. They arrived on time and stayed with the job until completed. (6 days) This was a huge deal for us as so many companies start and stop your project and you never seem to know when they are coming back, etc. NOT wit Penn Fencing. Excellent at communication. Excellent service as well. Had some adjustments that needed to be done to the gate, etc. and they came out and fixed it. No questions. No issues. I highly recommend.
