Bill's Canvas Shop was recommended seven years ago when I bought my home. The previous owners were long-time satisfied clients of Bill's and recommended that I use them as well. I have been satisfied with their service, timeliness and quick responses to questions. Annually, they take down my front porch awnings, clean, store and repair, where needed.
Each spring, the awnings are re-installed on a schedule and they are always on time for take down and installation unless bad weather intervenes. They also made and installed new awnings (my old ones were about 15 years old) and I am pleased with the end result.

We've been a customer of Bill's Canvas Shop for years. They do a great job for us on the rehangs and repairs. We initially had Bill's fabricate our canvas covering in 2008. It has held up over winds and storms and last year we had them replace our original canvas covering. It lasted 10 years! If I ever have a question or need service, they are friendly and prompt to reply. We feel we can rely on them for any of our covering needs. Overall, just great service.

We almost never see them because we don't go to the shore in early spring or late fall, but our awning is well taken care of, hung and taken down on time, cleaned and stored perfectly. The service from Bill's Canvas Shop is above and beyond. They take extra care in servicing my awning in the spring and the fall. Historically I have had an issue with birds getting behind the corner of the awning and building a next. This past year, the guys took extra measures to help keep the birds out and it was successful. I truly appreciate their attention to detail as well as their warm and friendly attitude. Highly recommend!

I recommend Bill's Canvas Shop for all your canvas, awnings, and vinyl needs. They were able to finish our back porch project with custom vinyl insulation panels. Not only was installation seamless, they made sure all measurements were correct, and even went above and beyond and installed easy access hardware to help with taking the panels down in the spring. All the workers were very kind and did an excellent job cleaning up after the work was complete. Bills Canvas Shop is a great business to work with!

I have been doing business with the team at Bill's Canvas for the past 15 years. They have always been responsive and provided courteous service. The have great products and are innovative with their design and solutions. The install team for seasonal hang and takedowns are always professional and personable. Their maintenance and storage has extended the life of our awnings.
Some of my neighbors that have cheap and inferior awnings from other companies find that they only last a fraction of the time as ours from Bill's Canvas. We always look forward to having the guys from Bill's install our awnings in the spring and bring back the personality to the house! We have been a customer with this business for nearly 11 years now and really didn't have much of an issue with them until now. Needed to order new awnings and did so back in January of this year. Estimated completion date was given as Spring 2021. We have now been getting nothing but a run around as to when our awnings will be completed and installed.
We have submitted all necessary down payments totaling 75% of the total price. We were told in April that the material was in and fabrication had started. We followed up with a call the 2nd week of May and were told we had been scheduled for install the week of May 7th however they were short handed and installs were running behind about 2 weeks. We now call and are told our awnings are in production and the material is just being cut. It's ridiculous that we cannot get a straight answer. The people that answer the phones are new and claim to know nothing and the ownership does not return calls. I would not recommend this business at the moment.

Can u give zero stars? I have spent over $20k with this company, last year over $5000 for new roof, panels, etc. BRAND NEW roof leaks (we will fix it), zippers broken (we will fix it), stitching pulled (we will fix it), came out once to assess and NEVER saw them again. It's been over a year with no solution.

Terrible company to work with. They don't get back to you, their prices are high, and they don't stand by their work. We're $900 in with them and we have the same problem with our retractable awning that we did when we started. Now they want $170 to even come out and take another look. I asked them if they would help us out considering we're a customer who got zero value for our $900 and they refused to do anything at all for us. They just don't care.

I don, t what to give this business a 1 star. I ordered a out side screen from them, had to give them %50 up front and then another %25 to order the screen. I had to call them 3 times before they would give me a appointment to have it installed. They installed it and as I was inspecting the work I saw that they had attached the bottom of the screen to the frames of the porch with multiple holes and the wood screws protruding all the way through to the inside about a inch.
The salesman had told me that it would be anchored to the wood under the deck. The workers told me that I had to pay them the balance and they would be back to fix it for another cost. I called the salesman and he told me I had to pay them or he would have the workers remove the screen after I had already paid them %75 of the job. I paid them and have not heard from them since. Stay away!

Was a customer for 18 years. Just had to replace two awnings over my sliders. Cost was $1,350.00 and part of the price was to hang them. I have a third awning that needed hanging. After two missed appointments without a phone call they came on the third appointment and hung the three awnings. Gave them a check as they left for the remainder of the bill.
A few days later I receive an invoice for $197.00 to hang the one awning. I called Bills Canvas and explained that this invoice was just not right to hang one awning while they were there to hang the other two. Management explained that they needed to pay their employees and they don't work for free. She said she could lower the invoice to $100.00 but I needed to pay. I told her I will pay the full amount but this is the end of our business. She said that fine and hung up.

We have used Bill's for the past 3 years. Up until last year, service was great. Last year we had new awnings made. They were made incorrectly, hung incorrectly and put up AFTER Memorial Day! They didn't take our awnings down for the season for over a month after the date I had scheduled for them to be taken down. Now, I have asked for the awnings to be put back April 1.
And still they are not up. I will be in Cape May this weekend with no awnings and will not be able to enjoy my porch In the rain. No one will call back or help or even guarantee when awnings will be placed. This is terrible service. If I ever get the awnings placed I will never use this company again.

HORRIBLE! We purchased our awning from them, which is the easy part, but now-a-days, "customer service" determines the quality of any contractor. Our awning needed a simple repair. New clips were needed to keep the valance from sliding down the track. The following year, we had to call again for the same issue, and we were told that the clips used were not good clips, so the repair tech now would supply what he termed as "better clips".
We were also told by Loretta that due to the repetitive issue, there would be no charge, but after the job was completed, we found this not to be the case. After the work was redone, Grace, the owner, was quite rude on the phone, and told us that since two men and a truck had to be dispatched, there would be a charge. So.here's a recap. Bill's supplied the awning and install.they tell us that poor clips were used to fix the awning.they "re-fix" the awning with "better" material, and charge us for the service.
If the repair material used was poorly designed, then Bill's needs to address that. To charge us for work needed a second time, only to NOW do the job properly, is a shame. And for an owner to be rude due to her aggravation on the matter is also a shame. When we're told that poor material was used in the first repair, and more importantly told that there would be no charge, only to find out that there is a charge since two men and a truck had to be dispatched.well.nuff said.

Our new house had an old awning on it that needed to be replaced, and the former owner recommended we call Bill's, who they had been using for many years. They were courteous and helpful every step of the way, even dropping off swatch books for us to keep to make our selection, and picking them back up - despite the 25-minute distance. The team who installed our beautiful new awning was friendly and worked quickly. And the finished product is lovely! Highly recommended.

So disappointed in this company. Awning was installed incorrectly and they had to return because it was wearing holes in the corners from the whipping winds. They said to call 2 weeks before we want it taken down. We called October 1 and it is still up. They said they moved us back because of the rain. It has been a gorgeous October and sunny every day. Expecting a Nor'easter and live on ocean block. This is a nightmare! So frustrated and upset with them.
