This product is not what it claims to be. I spent alot of money buying cedar color tandex for my dock in Florida. After 5 years the color completely faded. There warranty states uv protection it is not. Called Tangent spoke with Director of sales and CEO of the company, they say they will get back to u it takes days and sometimes u have to call them back with the same results.
We will look into it. Now they want to propain with a torch to a plastic deck to try to get color back. I spoke with 3 deck builders all say bad batch and they should replace decking that should not happen to a deck after 5 years. If I was to do it all over again I would even touch this product. The company just don't care, u think they would have sent a representative down to look at it, no just send pictures. In my opinion I would not buy this product.

Husband Tom and friend in picture replaced 14-year old rotting cedar raised beds with Polytuf from Tangent Technologies, using 1.5" by 9" material in the early spring of 2016. The picture shows Jeff sitting on one of the the old cedar beds behind a new Polytuf bed. The material is easy to work with, cuts with a standard wood blade, has no end grain so holds framing screws much tighter than the end grain of cedar or other lumber.
Not shown are the 2" X 2" material used as stakes at corners and mid way in beds, but below surface. The material is impervious to water, has UV resistant coloring and looks as good a year later as the day installed. Pressure treated lumber might have outlasted the cedar, but would leach chemicals into the plants and is not a way to grow healthy food. An unexpected advantage is the slight flexibility (more on 3/4" material).
We built two beds against a convex rock wall and were able to bend the Polytuf and stake it in place to produce outside curves that matched the wall, creating a pleasing effect. We are most happy with the results, should not have to do any more maintenance in our lives and will leave some long-lived and attractive beds to the next owner. Tom and Judy Casten
