We had very specifics needs in mind when we entered Appalachian Wood. Tobi listened carefully and was patient enough to show us every option. He helped and advised with measurements and wood colors and finishes through 4 projects. The products were completed on time. Bree in accounting was helpful with invoices. We had been to another mill prior where our emails had not been answered.

It is such a pleasure to do business with people who obviously love wood as much as we do and really want you to get what you're looking for. Their prices are very competitive and the quality is a ten. We have one more project!

Appalachian Woods makes beautiful furniture. I have had 2 tables (buffet and sofa) made and one dining room table made by them. Tobi was very knowledgeable to work with. And he makes furniture that will last many years to come. I highly recommend them to anyone. And they have great customer service.

We had problems finding quality interior doors for our project and found Appalachian Woods online. We commissioned them to make a couple of pre-hung doors, as well as a sliding barn door and a coffee table. We are thrilled with the results! They are gorgeous and going to be a focal point in our build. The staff at Appalachian Woods were fantastic: great communication, great attention to detail on both the products themselves and making them work in our build, as well as making them very secure for transport. I've added some pictures, but they are more impressive in person.

Searched high and low for a beautiful slab of reclaimed wood for our mantel and Appalachian Woods had the most stunning selection. We're so happy we went with them. The quality of the wood is out of this world and shipping was quick. Highly recommend!

I purchased reclaimed oak for a fireplace mantle, floating shelves and an apron for a custom range hood. All of the wood was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, reasonably priced, and Tobi was so nice and easy to work with. Because I live only a few hours from Appalachian Woods' shop, I was also able to visit them in person. They have a showroom with a number of dining tables that they have built in many different wood types such as reclaimed Elm, Oak and more. They were absolutely stunning. Quality was top notch. I hope to be going back to them to build a custom dining table. I would highly recommend Appalachian Woods!

I cannot say enough great things about Appalachian Woods & their team, particularly Raymond. Short story: service was above and beyond, wood was terrific quality and shipping was fast and well packaged. This is a great company to do business with! Long story: I was struggling to find flooring to match my existing 1940s wood floor when I stumbled upon their site.

I spoke to Raymond, sent him photos and he identified the wood correctly while we were still on the phone. They didn't carry the wood I needed so he found someone who did and sent me a link to their site. After a lot of back and forth (months) with the other company, I couldn't seem to get anywhere so I turned back to Raymond. He tried to order on my behalf and was also unsuccessful so he spent a week finding a new supplier and was able to order what I needed.

This was absolutely amazing of him! Obviously we paid a fee for his help but he could have just told me they didn't have what I needed and sent me on my way. The wood was shipped to them and they gave it some additional packaging because it was being shipped internationally and sent it on to me. The wood came and it was beautiful and a perfect match - even my flooring installer was impressed. Plus, not a bit of damage to any of it because of the great packaging!

After a few weeks, Raymond followed up to make sure I received the wood and was happy with it. The level of support and customer service from Raymond and the Appalachian Woods team is something you don't see everyday and I highly, highly recommend you support this business!

I would highly recommend their furniture maker to anyone. However, buyers beware if you are purchasing a cabin from them. Do your research and look elsewhere! Price is way too high, they somehow don't really know any builders and they give you as little information as possible hoping it won't come back on them. Also, if you go beyond the standard / most common flooring dimensions the work becomes sloppy besides the standard mistakes with very wide flooring that sometimes can't be avoided. There are other places for flooring around Va and Nc that should be heavily considered before coming here.

This is the second time I've used appalachian woods for my flooring and once again they get 5 stars! There was a mix up and we ended up 150 sq ft short on the order and didn't notice until my floor installers were half way through. I called Steve and he put me at the head of the production line. We were back in business in a couple of days! Thank you Steve for top notch customer service and excellent quality floors. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Everything about this experience was absolutely wonderful! From the custom design of the table to the customer service, ordering and delivery. The finished product was even more beautiful than I could've imagined, and they packaged it very well for travel. The quality of the materials is incredible as well, the wood is so beautiful! I can't wait for my next order!

We are absolutely thrilled with the four floating shelves we purchased for our bathroom remodel. Tobi worked with us to figure out the exact feel that we were looking for and customized the shelves in terms of size, color, and look perfectly.

We do a lot of work in DC and often have to blend old with new. Appalachian Woods has been a great resource for us.

Raymond at Appalachian Woods was fantastic in helping us pick the right product for our family river home on the Potomac River in Heathsville, VA. The rustic white oak with General Finishes Flat EnviroVar is perfect and holds up to the influx of sand from the shore without showing signs of wear since it is imperfect to start with. We knew that the product we selected would show deep grain and knot holes however we also knew that we would not be worried with dogs and kids running in from the beach. The service could not be beat and they delivered to the middle of the countryside right on time. Thank you!

I worked with Steve and described the design I needed for my client. He provided me with all the specifications and photos of the barn siding I was looking for. We communicated through email and over the phone from initial contact through delivery and installation.
