Rafael Floors

This was not our first time working with Rafael floors but the first time for a refinishing job. Owner Steve was very easy to work with; came to our home in a timely manner to check out the job, measure etc. Since I was concerned that refinishing might not work for the engineered floor he came back with his long-time refinisher and they determined that there would be enough wood for one time refinishing.

I wouldn't have trusted the job to just anyone; a little too much sanding and you'd hit the subfloor. But given the Sander's experience, I felt confident. The price was the best of three places I compared with and the final refinishing looks lovely.

Great customer service. I am a local homeowner with limited experience in flooring but with a handymen disposition. The team here were able to guide me on repairing hardwood floor patches that were left open after a significant remodel where doors were moved in my house. They provided free samples, advice and guidance where I could go find the products I needed.

Highly recommend the neighborhood Rafael Floors. I was originally quotes $2,000 to patch my floors, but after the guidance I received I was able to do it myself for only $27.

Rafael Floors was recommended to me from my realtor and I'm glad to have found them. Their prices were competitive compared to other vendors in the area. Jennifer helped walk me through different types of flooring, and Steve was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with, especially to get a price that worked for our budget. He kept us updated on the expected delivery of our hardwood floors and helped manage an issue when some boxes arrived damaged.

Now having dealt with a number of vendors for our house, I recognize how pleasant it was to work with Steve and Rafael Floors as a whole. I would definitely recommend them for others who are looking for flooring.

I would not support this business! The owner of San Rafael Floors, Steve Villa, hired someone that is not licensed to drive, yet allowed him to use a company vehicle. This speaks volumes on his ethics and values. Because he allowed his employee without a Drivers License to drive his company vehicle, I am dealing with a nightmare accident claim. The DL produced at the scene and only one he has issued was from El Salvador (date on DL 2009) and proof of insurance for San Rafael Floor truck was expired 2013). CHP and police refused to come because there were no injuries or hazards blocking the road!

We all have to follow the letter of the law and have a valid DL and current insurance, right? Now its on me to pay to fix my car (over $5000 worth of damage, get a rental, take time off work to deal with it all), possible insurance increase, file a police report and make a citizens arrest. THIS IS AN IRRESPONSIBLE BUSINESS OWNER-in my humble opinion. I have reached out to him and have been waiting for him to handle things for 3 weeks to no avail.

Very friendly and helpful on the shop floor but that is where all good things come to an end. No internal communication to get someone out to view the home. Had to follow up with them twice. Once they did the measurements, I never heard back with an estimate. I even followed up to see what the delay was and no response. Also, who has a business card that doesn't have your email address on it.

High quality flooring. Excellent service in the showroom and in the field.

Great selection of carpets. Stella customer service before and years after installation. Highly recommend.

I had wood floors in three bedrooms and a hallway redone by Rafael Floors and couldn't be more pleased. They also added new flooring to a bedroom and it matched the current flooring flawlessly. They moved my furniture out and back in again and made it all look easy. I am very happy with their work, Jack's estimation and insights about my floors and glad to recommend them to all.

The people here are the best--helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Janet Brog, the showroom manager, helped me match some 10 year old hardwood flooring for a remodel job. They have a great selection and competitive prices. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my flooring needs.

This is going to sound like an advertisement but that's because they did everything right. The store is easy to navigate and I didn't have to go looking for someone who worked in the flooring department for help or risk talking to someone who normally sells paint. The sales people were helpful but not intrusive and at least on the items we looked at, the prices were very clear, comparable to other places we had shopped, and included the price of installation.

They have their own teams of installers, so we weren't dealing with outside contractors for the installation. Our installers, Arturo and Douglas were on time, friendly, and considerate of my trying to work from home and of my pets. They were in and out, did a great job and left no trace that they or our old carpet had ever been there. I couldn't have asked for more from my experience with Rafael Floors and would highly recommend them.
