The following table points out some very important and extremely significant differences among several stone manufacturers in the marketplace. Knowledge of the differences will lead to a better understanding of the long-term effects of these differences. Most manufactured stone looks good. Getting a truly "natural look" can be a challenge, and some stone fall short in that area.
All squares and rectangles including a few Ledgestones. Laid in a basic horizontal pattern. Stones that are twice as long as they are wide should not be laid vertically. Avoid long, continuous mortar joint, both vertical and horizontal by altering size of stones. Pattern has about 75% Flagstone, with the balance of stone being small Cobblestone, Riverstone and Ledgestone.
Appleridge Stone may be installed to most interior and exterior wall surfaces. Preparation of the surface varies for different building materials. In general, stone may be applied directly to unpainted and unsealed masonry surfaces. Metal lath must first be applied to painted or sealed masonry or to wood, drywall, and other building material surfaces.
Manufactured stone is lighter weight (it does not require a footer), it's less expensive to buy and install. The air temperature should be 40 degrees for a minimum of 72 hours after the last stone is set. Our stone has a very low moisture absorption but we cannot guarantee the mortar, therefore it is the customer's option to seal or not.

I like the product. It looks great. But I have had issues with customer service. I ordered their cobblestone in the orchard color to do columns on my porch. First they said it would take 2-3 weeks. When I finally got the call that it was ready for pickup, I went to their shop, but nothing was ready. I had to wait around for an hour while these guys tried to figure out what I was supposed to get and they put some boxes in my truck, and then took them back out, and kept trying to get it right.
They were very disorganized. I finally was able to get someone to do the work (3 people Appleridge recommended as installers were all terrible - didn't return phone calls, didn't come to give an estimate, etc.). The person that did the work did a great job, but I was short about 8 pieces. I just called and told them the situation, and they said it would be at least 2 weeks, probably closer to 3 weeks before I could get any more.
So they messed up calculating how much I needed (and my installer wasted NOTHING) and now I have to wait even longer to get more, and my installer will end up charging me more now that he has to come back for a second day to finish the job. Plus this is delaying the rest of the work that I need to do on the porch. Appleridge should make it a priority to get me the material I need since they got it wrong in the first place. I have a lot more stone work I wanted to do on the house, but I may end up going somewhere else for it now.

The stone that I bought from Apple Ridge really sets my cabin apart. I just love the rustic look of the place. It really reminds me of the place I lived in as a kid. The people at Apple Ridge were great, I always had any question I asked answered right away, and I am quite satisfied with the final look.

My home is so much better because of you guys! I absolutely love the overall look of my stone hearth and I receive compliments on it all the time. My favorite part isn't even the beauty of the stone, but how easy it is for me to clean it! I was almost surprised how simple it was, and I'm telling all my friends to get on board!

I have to admit, I never was the biggest fan of stone in terms of home use. But I have really turned the corner on this one, in large part due to Appleridge stone, and the fine work they did on my home. I love the feel of it, it is more rustic and more appealing than I had imagined it in my head. My wife was really the one that did the initial convincing, but I also wanted to thank you all for the good work you did, it was much appreciated.
