Summer officially starts in June, but if you live in Southwest Florida, it feels like summer lasts about 10 months. With that being said, the summer season brings many different events, such as the end of school, family vacation time, beach time, and home improvement projects. In 2020, do-it-yourself projects spiked up sharply during the pandemic, but have recently dipped due to the country and state "re-opening."

I was rehabbing a house and needed some misc supplies. I found this store to be full of happy and helpful people. So refreshing to have stumbled onto this business. Everyone seems genuinely happy to be working there. And as a bonus, they delivered my lumber to the property at no extra charge! I highly recommend this off the beaten path store!

I visited Kimal Lumber in Nokomis without knowing if I was going to find what I needed for a garage floor remodeling project. Our contractor wanted untreated baseboard and I had no luck when searching in other places. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Tim Bijeau helped me immensely! He listened to my needs, helped me order the right material and had delivered to our home. Our garage looks great!

13 years ago, about 2/3rds of all the doors interior doors at Venice Beach Villas were semi custom made by Kimal. They were all a little out of square due to the nature of the older buildings. To this day everything has been working well, a lot of abuse with good appearance. The guys at Kimal were great to work with.

Apr2015 - Called Kimal's window and door division about a problem with our front double doors. Got a a same-day response with a request for e-mailed pictures of the problem. There was a next-day response with a scheduled time for technician to appear. Tech arrived 30 minutes early - a welcome event! Repaired the stated problem and refitted the doors as well when he noted a problem with the way they closed [due to age]. Tech was pleasant and very efficient, explaining what he was doing as he went along. This was a 100% pleasant experience. Definitely use this company for any window or door problem. They also will bid for new/replacement instillations.

I had an insert put in my door. I am so impressed with the people I had contact with starting with the ordering Pat, then the scheduling Becky and last but not least the installer Jason. He was great! very polite and prompt. When he noticed he was going to be longer than he had originally told me he called to let me know. This company was wonderful they all did above and beyond. It was a pleasure!
