Our firm, Theut Products., has been producing lightweight and concrete block since 1937. It was in that year that Edwin P. Theut Sr. founded Theut Products after accepting a concrete block making machine in lieu of payment from a builder. Using that tool, Edwin Sr. and his wife Josephine opened the 1st Theut Products location near the Van Dyke & 9 Mile area.

If you want brick, block, stone, or tools it's fine. If you want concrete I would rather mix it by hand. Twice I received the worst concrete in my life from theuts. One time I got a hot batch and had to take it out the next year. I waited a year and thought why not give them another try. I did and it came with so much aggragat that I could not float it.
I put the vibrator on the forms and what surfaced was aggragat and no creme. Now Iay need to tear this out as well. Unless it's a footing I would never order theuts concrete.

Beware! If you receive a notice in the mail from this company. Apparently they are fishing for People they can scam. They look your name up on the internet, get your address and personal info then send you a notice that they have delivered products to your home and will put a lien on your house if you don't pay them. When you try to stop this they threaten you with false accusations and refuse to meet with you. You will have to hire a lawyer to keep them from taking your house away. BEWARE BEWARE

Received a notice of furnishing from Theut Products from Cement work done by Holsbeke Construction. According to the letter this is required by the Michigan Construction Lien Act to protect their ability to file a lien in the event they are not paid for the materials. I called and spoke with Kristine in the credit department who assured me this is normal course of business and they "would never go after the individual/homeowner, but this is where it gets tricky", this is not what the letter says though. WTH?
She also told me Holsbeke has a good payment history an no problems but they still send this letter. Maybe they should re-think this business practice for people with good history. Unfortunately they likely cost Holsbeke another job with me. Ultimately if they file a lien I would be responsible. Buyer beware if your contractor is using them for supplies.
