Services
The Pedrick Tool & Machine Company was founded in 1875 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While our company manufactured machine tools for many industries, most of our product lines were used in the shipbuilding industry, which at the time was the dominant industry in America. As other industries grew, The Pedrick Tool and Machine Company developed our line of rotary compression bending machines for newly emerging industrial applications. Our machines are now typically used as tubing benders, pipe benders, bar stock benders and special section benders.
PEDRICK benders consists of a housing mounted on a fabricated steel or cast iron stand and is driven from the bottom. The housing is about 32 inches from the shop floor. Under the housing we have mounted a bull gear and pinion gear on spherical roller bearings for maximum radial load capacity. A cover plate is provided to prevent dirt and scale from damaging the gears & bearings underneath.
Special application inquiries can be in the form of engineering drawings, samples, photographs, or hand sketches. Our company has pioneered many unusual bending procedures, some of which were considered impossible beforehand. One of our most notable achievements is the development of equipment to bend rectangular copper bus-bar, edgewise (hard way), to bend radii that defy the handbook, but we found a way to accomplish it! In many cases customers show us parts or assemblies with unusual end geometries that require special clamping arrangements.
