The company now known as JSL Materials (including John S. Lane & Son and JSL Asphalt) was started in 1890 through the pioneering efforts of John S. Lane. Employed by the railroad, Mr. Lane had the foresight and vision to discover the need for aggregates to support the railroad tracks. From that early beginning well over a century ago, the company has grown to encompass multiple quarry locations in Massachusetts and an asphalt facility in Connecticut.Family-owned Peckham Industries, Inc., based in Brewster, New York, delivers high-quality customized solutions to thousands of road construction and highway maintenance customers in eastern New York and western New England.
